Keeping limestone sealed with an appropriate impregnating seal is a must. Like marble, what happens over time is that pores in the stone naturally start to widen, this causes the stone to appear dull and lifeless, tightening the pores brings back or adds a natural sheen to the stone. To carry out this process the limestone needs to be rinsed off between every grit pad, before the fine grit pad is applied which will leave a natural sheen finish.
